	Fertilize spring flowering shrubs after they finish blooming. Mulch around your plants to help preserve moisture and smother weeds.  After the average last frost it should be safe to plant many hardy annuals and other hardy plants, but still be ready to safeguard plants in case a late frost arrives.

		Memorial Day	Fertilize Roses after their first bloom and then again every four weeks until fall.  Toward the end of the month thin out fruit on heavily bearing fruit trees.  Lightly feed perennials and spring flowering bulbs with a side dressing of fertilizer.  Pinch annual plants when transplanting to grow bushier plants.
